Narjes Fredj - نرجس فرجفاتنة هي بملامحها البريئة تلك، ممدة كبياض الثلج فوق بساط احلامها المنكسرة. يوجد قربها كتاب ذو غلاف جلدي مقفل ،ريشة حبر مرمية أرضا و أوراق تناثر بعضها فوق الاريكة و البعض الآخر فوق السجاد. تحمل بين يديها وردة حمراء قد ذبلت . اختلط ريحها بعبق الحبر فأضفيا جوا من الرهبة و الخشوع على المكان.
هناك ، يوجد عصفور ـ كناري ـ ينشد من أجلها لحن الوداع . يراها ترقد في سلام فيرثيها زقزقة أبلغ من الكلمات. فذاك الصغير الفنان يحكي أن - أميرته - كانت كل صباح تحضر ورودا تزين بها المكان ، تتخذ من الشرفة منصة تطل منها على الكون بأروع فساتينها و هي تحمل بين يديها كتابا . كانت تقرأ دوما الحكايا و الروايات تندمج غالبا مع شخصياتها فتحاكي افعالهم و تلفظ اقوالهم بنبرة ساخرة مضحكة.

صوت يأتي من خارج غرفة الظلام كما أسمتها أمها :' سارة هيا انهضي انها التاسعة
دخلت الغرفة..ازاحت الستائر و فتحت النافذة 'كم تحب هذه الفتاة الظلام...هيا انهضي..أنا ذاهبة للسوق أتريدين شيئا'
لا...دعيني فقط أنام لم انم طوال الليل
ذنبي أنّي امرأة
